I would like to start the process. Where do I begin?

If you desire to hire our services, contact us online or call 310-855-2301 during normal business hours to discuss your employment requirements in more detail.

Do I have to pay a registration fee?

There is no registration fee of any kind. Once you have found the candidate of your choice, there is a placement fee. This is a one-time fee. For more details, please go here.

What is the average age of your candidates?

Most of our candidates are in their mid-twenties, thirties, and forties, some are older, married, and have raised their children.

Who are your candidates?

We represent the most professional, experienced, and loyal staff one can find. All candidates must have a minimum of four years of experience in the position they are applying for. All candidates that come through Elite Domestic Agency are U.S. citizens or are legally authorized to work in the United States. All of our candidates use English fluently as a native or second language. A large number of our applicants have a university degree or minimally they are high school graduates.

How many hours can we expect a household employee to work?

On average a household employee will work eight to ten hours per day although this is negotiable and should be agreed upon before commencement of employment.

Where do you place?

The majority of our clientele is residing in Holmby Hills, Beverly Hills, and Bel Air. We often find placements also in Westwood, Century City, Brentwood, Hollywood Hills, West Hollywood, Hancock Park, Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, Marina del Rey, Playa del Rey, Palos Verdes, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Redondo Beach. We also serve some areas of the San Fernando Valley and Malibu. For our international clientele, we place worldwide.

How do you find your candidates?

Over the years, the word of mouth has been proven to be the most effective search tool. We receive most of our best candidates through referrals. This gives us the ability to represent the most impressive candidates.

How long will it take to find somebody for me?

It usually takes 1-3 weeks, depending on your schedule. It’s best to start the process about 3 weeks before you need somebody to begin working with you. After reviewing your needs, we will start presenting prospective candidates for you to interview. We encourage you strongly that once you’ve met someone you are interested in, it is important to let her and us know you’re interested. Otherwise, our candidate might be hired by someone else in the meantime.

What is your interview and reference checking processes?

The checking process begins with an extensive face-to-face interview at our Los Angeles office where all candidates are evaluated. All references are contacted and verified before the presentation. Criminal background checks and DMV checks are conducted before the start date. Learn more about our screening process.

Is a household worker an employee? What taxes do I need to pay?

If you hire someone to work in your home, such as a cleaning person, a cook, a gardener, or a babysitter, both you and your employee should know about paying Social Security and Medicare taxes. Your household employee may be eligible for Social Security and Medicare someday—if you deduct Social Security and Medicare taxes from his or her wages, pay the taxes to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and report the wages to the Social Security Administration.

Do you share my private information?

We do not share or rent the list of information collected. We treat all of our dealings with clients and prospects confidentially.
